Bio

Jacqueline Bediako, M.S., BCBA, was born in London, England. Although Jacqueline was born in the U.K., she is extremely proud of her Ghanaian heritage. As a child, Jacqueline spent most of her time at her local library — Walthamstow Central Library — where she developed a passion for reading. Jacqueline attended Walthamstow School for Girls and Sir George Monoux College before pursuing higher education. She studied Psychology and Philosophy at the University of Bristol in England.

At the age of 23, Jacqueline moved to Cape Cod, Massachusetts. In Cape Cod, Jacqueline worked as a Child Development Specialist with children with disabilities at a residential school in Chatham. She moved to New York in 2008 to pursue further studies in education. In 2011, Jacqueline completed an M.S. in Special Education at Brooklyn College of the City University of New York. She is now a licensed special educator. 

Currently, Jacqueline is the Assistant Division Head for a transition program for young adults with disabilities based in Manhattan. She has also worked as an Academic Support Associate at a private school in Poughkeepsie, New York where she focused on making challenging curricula accessible to students. Prior to that Jacqueline worked as a Department Chair and Special Education Head Teacher. She is also a published writer and an aspiring life coach. 

Jacqueline lives in New York City, where she enjoys long walks, reading, writing, and spending time with friends and family.
